Icon’s disruptive campaign for NSW Farmers, Standing up for a better deal – How NSW Farmers rewrote the book on political campaigning in country NSW, has been shortlisted in the Government Relations category.
Icon is one of only a handful of Australian agencies represented in the prestigious awards, which will be announced on 4 December.
The Gold Standard nomination caps a big 2015 award season for the young agency, which has included a Golden Target Award, two Victorian PRIA Awards for Excellence and Government Relations Campaign of the Year award.
Founder and Managing Director, Joanne Painter, said Icon’s integrated model that combines creative, digital and PR capabilities in one full-service agency was proving particularly powerful.

Ms Painter said the agency was growing strongly thanks to recent account wins and would shortly be announcing a new Icon offering targeted at China.
“To remain relevant agencies must continue to innovate and take risks. Our upcoming venture is part of this approach, with a focus on the rapid growth in Chinese investment and business in Australia,” Ms Painter said.
