Icon.Inc's sister agency icon.pr has been shortlisted for the 2013 CommsCon Awards, it was announced this afternoon. The inaugural awards have been organised by The Communication Council's new body, The PR Council, to recognise excellence in the field of PR and communications.
icon.pr is a finalist in two categories: B2B campaign, for our 'Good health is good for business' campaign for WorkSafe Victoria's WorkHealth initiative; and Government Relations campaign, for our road safety campaign for VicRoads, 'Road to Respect'.
The awards will be announced in Sydney on the evening of March 14th, following the CommsCon conference. Winners will be determined by a two-stage panel chaired by Commonwealth Bank CMO Andy Lark with around twenty jurors from PR agencies, internal communications leaders and independent consultants.
Icon Group co-founder Joanne Painter said she is thrilled with the nominations and looking forward to attending next week's event. "CommsCon will be a great opportunity for communications professionals to discuss and overcome key issues in the field. I encourage forward-thinking in our agency and in the industry as a whole."
